The annual report of JSC "Samruk-Energo" again became the best in the competition of the rating agency "Expert RA Kazakhstan" in the nomination "Best annual report in the non-financial sector", as well as the silver medalist in the nomination "Best interactive report"

On December 28, 2016, an award ceremony was held based on the results of the VI Annual Annual Reports Competition held by the RAEX rating agency ("Expert RA Kazakhstan") with the support of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC.

The results of the competition, as in 2015, once again confirmed the high level of disclosure and submission of information by Samruk-Energo JSC, which retains a leading position in the corporate sector in terms of the quality of preparation of the annual report.

According to experts, the annual report of Samruk-Energo is characterized by a fairly complete disclosure of information on all aspects of its activities. The jury believes that the company continues to work on the development of the non-financial part, using the principles of the "Global Reporting Initiative" and the GRI industry protocol in the field of electric power (Electric utility, EU). During the preparation of the document, the reporting requirements of the UN Global Compact and International Financial Reporting Standards were taken into account.

Experts noted that the company follows best practices not only when preparing the content of the document, but also works on its form. For example, the company's annual report for 2015 consists of two volumes, where the financial statements are placed separately for ease of perception. The company has published a short version of the annual report, which presents only the main results of the organization's activities. Following current trends, an interactive version of the annual report is prepared annually and posted on the website.

A total of 137 companies participated in the competition, where the winners were determined by the members of the expert jury, which included professionals in the field of corporate governance and reporting.

JSC "Samruk-Energo", expressing gratitude for the high assessment of experts, will continue to improve its experience and apply the best international practice of information disclosure.
